EPCOT Food & Wine Festival

3 Strategies for Slaying the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival

We are just under one month away from the next EPCOT Food & Wine Festival. The much anticipated event begins July 14th and will end November 19th in the year of our Lord 2022.

The Parks Academy absolutely loves ECPOT events but the Food & Wine Festival has a special place in our heart. Without a doubt, this festival can be brutally overwhelming with all of the choices and nosh options.  Having experienced it in the past, we’ve put together 3 ways to slay the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival.

Use Gift Cards So You Don’t Overspend

This is a classic Parks Academy bit of advice. We are huge advocates of saving money when at Disney Parks and finding ways to not overspend. Fortunately most items at the festival are under $10 so it can be wildly tempting to tap your MagicBand and blindly splurge.

Jot down your must try booths and load the gift card according to the sum of your cost plus a little extra for unexpected treats.

Don’t Put Off Your Top Choices at the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival

Consider the top priority booths you want to check out and bolt to those first. Lines get extremely long throughout the day and, believe it or not, things do sell out. The EPCOT Food & Wine Festival booths will stay open until park close and missing out can put a dent in your day.

If you really enjoyed your “must-have” booths you can always revisit later in the day.

You’re Not Going to Need Dining Reservations

This is legitimately a mistake we’ve made before. Our last visit to the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, we made dinner reservations to Chefs de France. An hour until our allotted reservation, we tacitly realized there was not need to have a sit-down meal; not to mention the addition of extraneous cost. It’s not difficult to fill up at the Food & Wine Festival, so if you’re there just skip making reservations.

Planning ahead is the best way towards success at the Food & Wine Festival. For any questions you may have, feel free to reach out via social media.
