Sci-Fi Diner Theater
Hop in a throwback car and get ready to experience some nostalgic fun. Stop by Commissary Lane in Hollywood Studios (with reservations) and enjoy a 1950s-themed drive-in “theater.”
Experience a one-of-a-kind experiences with American favorites like burgers, chicken salad, turkey sandwiches, and mouthwatering milkshakes. While there, enjoy old sci-fi movie clips playing on a big drive-in movie screen.
This is a great option for families and you don’t have to futz with the radio station while you try and watch the film. I digress — the theming is so much fun and a great pick for any family meal.

Rainforest Cafe
What is there to say about the Rain Forest Cafe? It’s a predictable experience and a fun meal that will rarely disappoint. Whether you’re in Disney Springs or Animal Kingdom, Rainforest Cafe is a fun Disney World restaurant that is a crowd pleaser.
Because you can experience the animatronic paradise that is Rainforest Cafe just about anywhere in the country, we wouldn’t put it on the top of our list. However, if you want to have a good time, enjoy decent food and have an experience your kids will remember, this might be the one for you.
One of the things that makes this a fun Disney World restaurant is the immersive gift shop. Enjoy over 100 private-label items all throughout the gift shop. Trust us, that frog is everywhere.
While the food isn’t anything to write home about, it’s still a fun experience that will leave you filled up.

Chef Mickey’s
Without question Chef Mickey’s is a staple of Disney World. You can find Chef Mickey’s right off the monorail stop in the Contemporary Resort. This fun Disney World restaurant is not an easy get, but if you do, expect an unforgettable experience.
You’ll be treated with family style breakfast and dinner all while being greeted by character favorites. Enjoy sweet breads, eggs, bacon, brisket, and even Mickey Waffles.
One of our favorite aspects of Chef Mickey’s is getting to watch the monorail whirl by while enjoy classic Disney food. Snagging reservations to Chef Mickey’s might be hard to do, so make sure you are on to top of it.

50’s Prime Time Cafe
If you want to enjoy classic comfort food all while being “yelled” at by your servers, this place is for you. Stop by Hollywood Studios and experience this old-fashioned and fun Disney World restaurant. This location has some great food that is widely praised. However, you can expect your servers to correct your posture and make sure vegetables are eaten first.
To some, a highly immersive dining experience sounds great. That being said, some of us aren’t as big of fans (this is Stephen speaking). Some might say that the food makes up for the awkward encounters. For instance, enjoy Grandma’s Macaroni & Cheese, Mom’s Old-fashioned Pot Roast, and Aunt Liz’s Golden Fried Chicken.
