Kid-Friendly Disney Rides

7 Kid-Friendly Disney Rides

Disney Parks are notorious for being family-friendly. However, not all rides are extensibly kid-friendly. Our family is currently preparing to visit Disney World during the fall and, with an infant, we are considering which rides we can ride together. With this in mind, we have put together a list of 7 kid-friendly Disney rides you can enjoy as an entire family.

Astro Orbiter

One of the most classic rides in Disney Parks is the Astro Orbiter. Great for any height and all ages, this slow, spinning ride lets passengers become the captain and take flight. The two-passenger spacecraft levitates into the air and picks up speed as you orbit the galaxy with unforgettable views of Tomorrowland.

Dumbo the Flying Elephant

Speaking of rides that are great for any age and any height, Dumbo the Flying Elephant is a staple of the parks. Based on the ’41 animated featureĀ Dumbo, this attraction allows you to get right in on the action and soar through the air with your friend Timothy Q. Mouse. Hang on to your magic feather and spin along with a melodious organ tune as you circle Storybook Circus.

If you are riding with littles, let them help take control and decide whether or not they want to soar high or stay close to the ground. Either way, you are sure to have a fantastic time. We rank this as one of the best kid-friendly Disney rides.

Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros

Let’s face it, being in EPCOT with kids can get a little boring. If you’re looking for a fun adventure to break away from world-hopping, hop on the Gran First Tour in the Mexico pavilion for a remarkable journey. Look for Donald Duck on this gentle boat ride, perfect for any height or age.

Take a slow boat through the Rio Grande through familiar sites through Mexico. Also look for hidden Mickeys along the way. The music is of this ride will keep your kids excited and engaged in the action.

“It’s a Small World”

Controversial or not, “Small World” is a perfect ride for kids to explore different parts of the world and see that we’re not so different after all. Like it or not, this Sherman brothers song is iconic and your kids are going to love it. Pro tip: don’t be a grouch and spoil it for them. Let the kids have their fun.

Another ride for all ages and sizes, “It’s a Small World” is a cannot miss with your little ones.

Jungle Cruise

It’s no serene ride through Mexico, but the Jungle Cruise is a fantastic journey that gets you face-to-face with exotic animals. While it might be a little bit scary in some parts, the Jungle Cruise is a staple of Adventure Land and provides thrills and excitement. Experience the “back side of water,” flesh-eating piranhas, and restless hippopotamus while whirling down a beautiful river.

Kilimanjaro Safaris

Unlike any other ride in Disney Parks, the Kilimanjaro Safaris is a spectacular journey that gives you a true glimpse into the life of African wildlife. While each tour can be a little bit different, you never know who or what you’re going to see. Perfect for any age, the Kilimanjaro Safaris is one of the best kid-friendly Disney rides.

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

The final ride on our list of kid-friendly Disney rides is the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh in Fantasyland. When it comes to characters in the park, it’s not much more kid-friendly than the famous Pooh Bear himself. Encounter Heffalumps and Woozles while you tour the 100-Acre Woods along with Pooh and his friends. The bright colors, happy songs, and unforgettable characters give your little ones the perfect Disney dark ride experience.
