Every Upcoming Pixar Film Announced at D23

What a whirlwind of a weekend! D23 ended yesterday and we were overloaded with new information. This week we are going to start off with every upcoming Pixar film announced at D23.

Every Upcoming Pixar Film

Elemental

This new Peter Sohn film will be released June 16th, 2023. Elemental will feature new characters and world unlike anything we’ve seen. Ember, a fiery and fierce young flame and Wade, a go-with-the-flow water guy. According to the D23 panel, this upcoming Pixar film will inspire audiences with a story about immigrants who pursue their dreams in unfamiliar territory.

Win or Lose

Directed by Carrie Hobson and Michael Yates, we receive an inside look at the new (first-ever) series by Pixar. This series highlights the Pickles, a co-ed youth softball team. According to the announcement, we will get a look into the same week in each episode but from different characters’ perspectives. Coach Dan, voiced by Will Forte, is the lead in this upcoming Disney+ series coming in Fall 2023.

Elio

Another upcoming Pixar film is Elio. According to Pete Docter, this film will feature an 11-year old with big dreams and an artistic bent. Strangely, they are mistaken for Earth’s intergalactic ambassador in a mixup during one of Mom Olga’s top-secret missions. We expect this film to be unlike anything we’ve seen out of Pixar.

Inside Out 2

If you had a follow up to Inside Out on your bingo card, you’d be in luck. The final announcement from Pixar was Inside Out 2. We were not expecting this but couldn’t be more excited about the possibilities. The characters will follow Riley as a teenager and explore a whole new world of emotions.
