Here’s How to Crush Your Day at Epcot
Alright, you’ve got your reservation ready to go for Epcot and you want to make the most of your day. We get how important it is to make the most of your Epcot day, so we have put together a few tips to crush your day at Epcot!
Don’t Stress About Dining
There are 11 Pavilions with 50+ dining options in Epcot! Woof! That’s a lot of options. It’s super easy to stress out about where you’re going to eat and to make sure you’re not missing out on anything. But don’t let that take away the fun from your day. Truth is, everything in Epcot is good in its own way. But we recommend hitting a QSR option for lunch and then a sit down restaurant for dinner.
One of our favorite stops in Epcot is the Rose & Crown Pub in the UK Pavilion. This can be a really quick, walk-up dining option with great Fish and Chips and a beautiful view of the water. We also love to eat at the San Angel Inn Restaurante in the Mexico Pavilion. This spot serves up outstanding margaritas and the service is exceptional.
If you’re hoping to hit up some really popular spots (like Space 220), we highly recommend not sitting on reservations and making sure you get that spot. If you don’t get reservations, though, don’t sweat it. There are so many great places to eat that you’re sure to find something that will satisfy your hunger.
Plan Out Your Attractions
Because there is so much to do at Epcot, you want to make sure you have a tentative plan for which attractions to experience. With the opening of Rey’s Ratatouille Adventure and the upcoming Guardian’s of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind opening, it would benefit you to have an idea of what you want to — especially if you want to spending a decent amount of time in World Showcase.
Take advantage of Genie+, get there early to be one of the first in line for Soarin’, or know which attractions are non negotiable.
Figure Out Where You Want to Start
It’s the classic argument of Canada vs. Mexico. That is, which Pavilion do you start with? We are pretty split on the matter. Stephen says Canada, Paige says Mexico. There really is no right or wrong answer, but it’s a fun way to decide the flow of your day. Some people like to go straight to World Showcase and you’ll be certainly faced with the decision of where to go first. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, take the Skyliner into the side entrance of Epcot and slip in near France.
Remember to Break the Day Up for the Kids
Epcot is notoriously known as a more “adult park.” Because there aren’t as many things for younger kids to do, it can be easy to get tied up in all of the food, drinks, and thrilling attractions (Mission Space, anyone?) Remember to think about how you’re going to break up your day to include the little ones. Attractions like the Seas With Nemo and Friends and Frozen Ever After, are great options for spending time with the little ones and breaking things up. Also be mindful of their palette and which foods they like. Maybe an adventurous meal isn’t the best option for lunch when you’re in Epcot. Consider taking them to Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue or Garden Grill.
There are plenty of options for making your day at Epcot amazing! Stick with some of these tips and you will absolutely crush your next visit. Listen to the Parks Academy for more tips and tricks.
