Reasons We Love Visiting Tomorrowland

Tomorrowland is one of the best parts of visiting Magic Kingdom. To many, it might be the best part of visiting Disney World (or Disneyland for that matter). There are some reasons to love visiting Tomorrowland and we are going to lay out a handful of reasons why Walt’s futurist land is beloved by so many.

Space Mountain

Tomorrowland Attractions

  • Astro Orbiter (formerly known as Star Jets) (1974-1994 as Star Jets) (1994- as Astro Orbiter)
  • Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin (1998-2021, 2021-)
  • Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor (2007-2020, 2021-)
  • Space Mountain (1975-)
  • Tomorrowland Speedway (formerly known as Grand Prix Speedway, later Tomorrowland Indy Speedway) (1971-)
  • Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover (formerly known as WEDway PeopleMover) (1975-2020, 2021-)
  • Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress (1975-)
  • Sonny Eclipse and the Amazing Astro Organ

Future Attractions coming to Tomorrowland is TRON Lightcycle. It’s been in progress for years now, but we should be seeing it open in Spring 2023. Fingers crossed. The current attractions, along with the new TRON coaster are just some of the reasons we love visiting Tomorrowland.

Tomorrowland Restaurants

  • Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies
  • Cool Ship
  • Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe (formerly known as Tomorrowland Terrace)
  • The Lunching Pad
  • Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station

There are so many great places to eat in Tomorrowland and Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe is one of the most popular, primarily due to Sonny Eclipse. This fun-loving musician was added in 1995 and has been entertaining guests ever since.

Tomorrowland Shopping

  • Buzz Lightyear Shop
  • Merchant of Venus
  • Star Traders
  • Space Mountain Shop (Tomorrowland Power & Light Company)

Currently, the Tomorrowland Power & Light company is under refurbishment. Part of Space Mountain, this popular shop is a staple of Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland and is a must visit.

For those of you who love Magic Kingdom, you’ll know that visiting Tomorrowland is a must. Is there anything we missed or something you’d like to see added? Shout out in the comments below.
