Revealed: New EPCOT Transformation Concept Art

While EPCOT continues its preparation for the official opening of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Disney also shared an upcoming look at the EPCOT transformation. Today, Disney Parks reveled new concept art for the World Celebration space. This space will, likewise, act as a festival center. Imagine upcoming Food and Garden Festivals in this space? It’s going to be incredible.

What to Expect From the EPCOT Transformation

• World Celebration will be one of four neighborhoods making up EPCOT.
• The center will serve as the new hub for EPCOT festivals and will undergo a huge makeover.
• According to Disney, World Celebration will “offer a beautiful hub divided into sever gardens, with a central planter baed on the EPCOT logo.
• World Celebration will also serve as home to CommuniCore Hall and the CommunCore Plaza

CommuniCore Hall is planned to host festival programs including an exhibition space, demo kitchen, and mixology bar. The hall will, likewise, be home to meet and greet opportunities.

Outside, the CommuniCore Plaza will feature a stage for performances and concerts. Additionally, the garden will transform with the seasons and will come to life with immersive lighting and nighttime experiences.

From what we gather, these new plans will replace the original festival center. Plans were originally announced at the 2019 D23 Expo. While some things are altered, we can still plan to expect Dreamers Point and the Walt Disney statue. Dreamers Point will contain a quote which reads: “As guests pass Spaceship Earth, in the future they will discover a breathtaking new view of World Showcase from Dreamers Point. World Celebration will also feature a new statue honoring the legacy of the original dreamer, Walt Disney, plus beautiful natural environments and global design elements filled with Disney magic.”

At this time, there is no opening date set for CommuniCore Hall or CommuniCore Plaza, but the EPCOT transformation is well on its way. Stay tuned, however, for more updates coming from Disney World and EPCOT.
