With an average annual attendance of over 58 million visitors, Disney World is one of the most visited spots in the country. Especially for those with families and during your summer Disney vacation.. However, if you’re visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth during the summer, be prepared to face the heat.
That’s right, it is brutally hot in Orlando during the summer. If you have visited in the summer then you know. So what should you do if you’re going to have a summer Disney vacation but want to avoid the heat? Here area few tips to help avoid the overwhelming Florida heat.
Stay Cool During Your Summer Disney Vacation
The first and most obvious option is to not visit during the summer. But that’s not always the best option. One of the best ways to avoid the heat while you’re visiting Disney World this summer is to be prepared. We have talked about things to bring on your next Disney trip and the most important thing is to stay hydrated. Carrying a water bottle or two around the parks will help you stay hydrated and, ultimately, have a better day in the park.
No one wants to have a bad experience in the parks so remaining hydrated is immensely helpful.
Besides hydrating, planning your trip around the weather is very helpful. Think about going on rides that have mostly an indoor queue. Consider also taking advantage of Genie+ to get on water rides. Spending time shopping can also be a great way to beat the heat on your summer Disney vacation. Consider walking through shops on Main Street USA instead of walking right down the middle.
Shows are another great way to stay cool and avoid the heat of the day. Country Bear Jamboree rarely has a long wait and you can slip in without much of a wait. Ditto to the Enchanted Tiki Room or the Hall of Presidents.
Planning dining ahead is another fantastic way to stay out of the sun. Slip into a sit-down restaurant (with reservations, of course) and take time to enjoy cool water and delicious food.
